Hidden in the rural township of York, Western Australia you will find one of the most decadant and gorgeous wedding venues called Laurelville and it was our pleasure to work with Sandra and her staff at this location. We style and photographed Nadia & Lucas's wedding in this amazing part of the world. After wrestling with WA quarantine going through every flower individually for the wedding before allowing us to enter the state, we set out with our cool room attached in a van borrowed from our very good friends who live in Perth, Ali & Des! This van has done a LOT of kms and has NO airconditioning... please remember that it is December in Western Australia - yep it was a bit warm AND the trip to York from Perth is around an hour in a 'normal' car not towing anything ... all up hill lol. I think we saw all the attendees of the wedding pass us on the way to York - it was a great adventure. When we say we literally go everywhere ... we mean it!
The morning of the wedding saw a beautiful calm bride, Nadia and her lovely friends all enjoying a sumptuous breakfast at Laurelville, while we busily styled all the gorgeous floral arrangements for the ceremony. Then we went on to style all the hair and makeup. Nadia chose to have natural looking makeup and an all up hair style to suit the stunning veil she wore on the day. I also LOVED the hair style we did for Jessica (maid of honour)... I'll pop a picture of this style on here for you to see it up close. Actually it was because of styling Jessica's wedding a few years ago that Nadia looked us up to do her wedding... thanks Jess!!
I really loved the pictures Lee took of the guys prior to the ceremony in the pool room. Nice, masculine and very cool images! We also captured some really lovely shots of Nadia before she walked down the aisle too. The ceremony was performed by Nadia's close friend Brooke (we styled her hair and makeup too) and was a beautiful, touching ceremony. Our location shots were taken at the top of York township at Mt Brown Lookout. We had so much fun taking these shots and I think Nadia and Lucas enjoyed this part of the wedding day immensely. Keeping in mind that Nadia needed to take things a little steady, we only went to one location in York before returning to Laurelville, however we did manage to squeeze in a few more gorgeous shots at sunset with the candelabra lit tree. All in all Nadia and Lucas enjoyed a really beautiful, intimate wedding with their friends and have since welcomed a beautiful little one into the world.
