We met Kylie & Rick at an exhibition and reconnected at their pre-wedding 'save the date' shoot which I loved. Kylie had some just superb ideas on what she wanted for her 'save the date' cards and I think we were able to provide the images she was after just fine!
The wedding day was a perfect one weather wise and we were lucky enough to be able to incorporate lots of different looks into the short time frame we had between the ceremony and reception. Kylie chose to have artificial flowers, however I styled her hair and all the bridesmaids hair & makeup. Actually I did love the images we took for the bridesmaids - they looked just amazing in the wedding album due to the beautiful rich colours and mood of the setting.
Rick & Kylie chose to be marred at The Brighton Savoy in Brighton, a lovely choice! We've worked here a few times now and I must say the front room where the wedding receptions are held really is quite impressive! I LOVE the atmosphere this room has and the view is to die for!
As I mentioned we didn't have a lot of time between the ceremony and reception for the location shoot, and Kylie's wish list was quite long - however with the help of an amazing bridal party who really did listen and make our job super easy, plus a great choice of location we managed to fit it all in - we literally had 15 minutes to do this shoot in. Just goes to show what can be achieved when you have a couple of good photographers working with an attentive bridal party :)
We also did a 'night shoot' with Kylie & Rick, however this particular one was done just at sunset on the beach opposite the Brighton Savoy - wow, Kylie worked as well as any model I've photographed... well done Kylie and it was just so lovely to be there for the precious moment that their little girl saw a beach for the first time... that was special :) It's moments like these that both Lee and I really love what we do!!
